does this scare anyone else? (Billy Corgan's Rig)

http://www.thinlizzy.de/gear/bc-rig.jpg This pic belongs to none other than Billy Corgan while he was on the Machina tour. This is a pretty sick rig.

The heads are Diezel VH4 heads.

Adam Jones from Tool also uses one of these, when I saw tool played and stood right in front of Adam the tone coming out of that thing was simply unbelievable.

It's the tone I try to get with my ENGL 100 watt head.

I get pretty close but hey I'm not Adam Jones.

with that much stuff behind stage you have to wonder. what are you hearing more of - the guitar player or the ten stories of rack gear he has.

**** thats some rig, but it makes you wonder how much something like that costs? i have a cheaper car christsakes.
and then i look at ian mckayes rig and it really brings home the fact that tone comes from the fingers. fugazi vs zwan? I know whose records i buy.

In Zwan he uses a much more simple setup. This is his Quad rig. Check out those CUSTOM Matchless Preamps These Eventide Orvilles are $5000 a piece.

By the way, I also know where I stand on the issue scottishpunk:

I have every Pumpkins record, singles, and a lot of bootleg/unreleased stuff, which I WILL buy a copy if it is ever released. I also have Zwan stuff and going to see them live. I have yet to hear Fugazi, let alone buy a record. I do know they helped coin the phrase "emo" with the singer's other band, and that has brought us such great music as what's all over MTV right now. Granted, alternative had it's biters too, but I'd listen to Stone Temple Pilots or silverchair long before I'd listen to THe Used or Dashboard Confessional. And Fugazi also helped lead that great straight edge revolution, you know the one that started cause of the dumbass hick drunks that beat people up at shows, that now prides itself on going to shows "straight" so they can really f$$$ people up in the pit.

Sorry that everyone doesn't feel the same as you. You'll learn that we all (myself included) must come to grips with it.

you clearly havent heard any fugazi if you think they are responsible for the used, thats somewhat akin to blaming the sex pistols for sum 41. the used i think you'll find have a rig much more similar to billy corgans than ian mckaye.
and fyi you twa boab bawsack i actually i am a smashing pumpkins fan, i just prefer the pumpkins to zwan seeing as how i find zwan to be is what technically known as " self indulgent pish". im no fan of dashboard confessional but i hope to god ur not going to go on about his whiney voice, seeing as how the vocal break in the "everlasting gaze" never ceases to make me cringe. i fail to see why u got so offended seeing as how i said tone comes from the fingers and not the $5000 rack your trust fund bought you. its the truth. how much do ui think tom morrellos rig cost him and audioslave pish all over zwan. and if your so alternative than why are you creaming your pants over his $5000 CUSTOM amps? a bit materialistic if you ask me. then again you sound like the kind of guy who buys his "Punk" clothes at hot topic. i cant afford a $5000 CUSTOM amp. so *****? doesnt mean i should feel inferior to anyone who can. Im pretty glad i dont agree with you seeing as how you seem like a very ignorant person. $ doesnt equal tone.

The Orville are $5000 not the Matchless amps.

Sometimes I wish Cornell did just stay with his solo career.

Like right after I heard "Cochise"

For the record Corgan has less stuff in his Zwan rig, then Morello in his Audoslave rig.

difference being toms gear real working human beings can afford. and tom morrellos a better guitar player. and chris cornells got a better voice than billy corgan. maybe if you didnt get all your music of of MTV, you might know this. condemning a particulary over played single makes you look like a real music affocionado after all. and before you ask yes i have heard the zwan record the whole thing and im afraid billy corgan is past his best.
