I was thinking the exact same thing. That cab is probably an 8 × 12" like Townshend had made for him until the roadies started wanting to kick him in the teeth so Marshall came up with the idea of cutting it in half. Or something. I can't really trust my memory. What I do remember is that it was one of the first cabs (if not the very first) Rivers Cuomo ever had.

Must say that a Muff over a low wattage amp like a Princeton or a Deluxe (2 different amp btw) sound wonderfull! I LOVE it over my Twen!

I'm guessing not as they are recording and only the princetom is mic'd but could be wrong, also would it not cut the princetons speaker output if you plugged another speaker cab. I've never used one or even looked at the specs, and know J could have it modded anyway but it is a theory no?

Why should J mod a Princeton - do you mean tonally - there would be no reason...? I think it's modded probably to have an additional speaker output, that would make sense - that way that the original speaker isn't disconnected - I THINK this is what he did, he just uses the Princeton itself for recording but uses the Marshall cab for more power and punch only for HIMSELF - to "feel" the guitar - that would be J...
