les paul jr.s or sg jr.s in gloss black. (i believe)

Marshall Stacks. (probably something like the dsl2000)

and some sort of punk shaping tool.

Well one thing I think the people on that thread don't understand is that the Refused probably rented gear when they came to the US. I assume they're Marshall and Gibson users due to their videos. I don't think they're a picky group by any means either.

What a great band they were. I saw them a whole bunch of times in the '90s. Around '98, I don't think I ever saw them plug into anything else than Marshall heads (JCM800 & 900) with single 4x12's.

As for guitars around the same time, I distinctly remember Kristofer playing some kind of Telecaster with a Strat neck. Before that, I seem to remember him playing a regular black SG Special.
Jon used a Gibson LS-6 most of the times I saw them.
