On Hummer, I definitely hear an Electric Mistress at least on the clean parts and possibly in other spots.

That YouTube vid's fascinating...the only way I can imagine it being done is if the vid's poster had access to the master tapes or something. Anyhow, it's interesting to hear the guitar parts 'raw'.

I'm wondering if a Boss chorus was used on that record too. I've got a sound very close to the intro and outro to Soma using a CE-3 with the rate on full and depth halfway. I'm sure an Electric Mistress can pull of that kind of chorused tone as well though.

Billy mentioned at the time chorus for "Soma" intro, but didn't mention what pedal/rack effect.

new pedal to sound

one pedal that billy used as well as the big muff was the micro synth by electro harmonix. it gave him the kkkkkkkgggggg sound heard on a lot of tracks like mayonaise etc.
