he played fenders. He doubled the rhythms on an acoustic or 3.

sounds like he played through cranked fender amps.

work on your Buddy Holly double-stops.

Interesting...always keen on listening to Marr's "source material" - any particular Buddy Holly riffs he may have, ahem, "adapted"? I know the 50s rockabilly sound was a major influence.

Also, listen to the solo by James Honeyman-Scott on Pretenders' "Kid." Marr said he still uses that piece every day as a warmup exercise.
