Here it is boys and girsl.....here is what I know.....
Daron Malakian uses Ibanez Iceman IC300 Guitars (which aren't in production) with Gibson '57 humbuckers in them.
In the beginning he used a Carvin MTS head that his mom bought him. Then when they went in to make the first album he started using the Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier.
After a year of touring the Toxicity album he signed a contract with Marshall. He used the Mode Four for the last portion of the tour. Then they went into the studio to make Mezmerize.
Upon this he wanted to make a sharper guitar sound, away with the massive low end sound. So he recorded with a Marshall Plexi and a Marshall JCM800.
As for guitars he uses a baritone (unknown brand), a Jackson RR5, a Les Paul and a slew of others. Once he went in for Mezmerize he started using a 1961 Gibson Les Paul Jr. (SG style body) loaded with P-90's for some extra bite. Also another SG with a sideways style trem, but only because it gives him some extra bite.
As for live amps, now he uses Marshall 2X12 combos on 4X12 cabinets.
As for effects, i know he uses the Line 6 delay. A Digitech Hyper Phase. That is about all.
