tips on getting Bush "Glycerine" tone...
i'm tiring to get that overdriven tone that you hear on Bush's "Glycerine". anyone have any tips? at least give me a rough idea on settings. if it helps you any, my gear is in my sig and my current clean channel settings on my amp are all on 5 except the volume which is at 2 i believe.
thanks.

i like the tone on that song- particularly the live one
if i were to attempt to emulate it, i'd prob use my distortion + or in your case the double shot. I'd set the gain at about half on mine, less on yours and drop the volume on my guitar slightly, I'd also make sure the tone knob on my guitar was set to minimum- that'd certainly give a nice fuzzy warm overdrive with a lot of clarity hope this helps

Well, in that song, he's using the neck pickup of a Fender Jazzmaster, so the biggest obstacle is your guitar.
To get that sound, you'll need a guitar with a single coil in the neck. If one of your guitars can split coil, use it. If not, then you're never going to get it. You can only approximate by rolling off the tone on a bridge humbucker, and using a little bit of distortion. There doesn't seem to be much mids in the sound. I'd set them around Bass: 6 Mids: 4-5 Treb: 7-8
