Anyone have a Cave Passive Pedal?

Hey guys!

I'm new around here and I was just wondering, who has a Cave Passive Pedal?

I recently just received a B-Drive from Cave and I am just really happy with it!!
The boost is just great and the drive you get from it is just as great!! These guys can definitely make a pedal!!

I was apart of the "G4 Tour of Duty" where, Cave sent a G4 pedal around Australia for people to play and test, I was lucky enough to try it. This, lead me to the purchase of the B-Drive Grunt.

Here is the link to OzBass forum for the tour of duty if any of you are interested in checking it out: OzBassForum • View forum - Cave Passive Pedals

Cheers

Welcome Bassican, I have a few Cave Passive Pedals actually. I totally agree with you, they can make a pedal. A great one at that. How good is the G4! I did a demonstration with the G4 and really enjoyed doing so. Everything from Cave has just got the highest quality which some pedals lack, they're also unique and and very versatile. They're different and that's why I like using them. I'll show you a link to my youtube channel where I have a few video demonstrations of some Cave Passive Pedals. Enjoy dude!!

One post is fair enough, but two in a row like this is too much of a coincidence...

If you're both shills from Cave, you might as well admit it now so we can let the whole 'passive pedals' matter rest.

Oh cool, Z.Bentley, someone else who actually has one!
Yeah they are very good in my opinion. Good videos by the way.

Concretebadger, no, I was just curios to know if anyone has got a pedal as I don't see anything about them on this forum. As I am new to the forum on here, I thought I'd check because people on OzBass have them. What's your problem?

Cheers

WooooHHH! I'm torn between two evils here, one says "I'm Ozzy and should stick by the Australian guys" and the other evil says "I've been watching and reading GC for years and this is sooo wrong!".

Look guys, if you're both Cave f**kwits, F**K OFF!! Get knives490 on line, he's cool and knows what to say!

Wow, Ozzy-Bassist thought you would be a real Aussie, considering your name and all!

What is the problem here?

They manufacturer has a history around here of pushing shills to talk about their pedals. You're fighting an uphill battle talking about these on this board.

I am affiliated with Cave Passive Pedals actually. So what?? I use their products and I think they're great and if someone asks "Does anyone have a Cave Passive Pedal?" I'm not going to ignore it, I'm going to comment on it, 'cause I can and any discussion regarding these pedals I find interesting. Bet you don't have a pedal do you Iaresee?? Exactly, you don't!! So have a think about it mate, and comment on something you're interested in, because you're just a troll and you have no idea about these pedals whatsoever. Bye bye!!

My problem is basically what iaresee outlines above. Given how previous discussions about Cave products have involved conflicting info and misleading statements from shills, this probably isn't the best place to find out about them. Whenever a Cave-related thread appears, nobody can be sure it's honest and legit.

Please don't assume that the members here are generally hostile and deliberately unhelpful - in my experience, the opposite is the case! - but threads relating to Cave products have never ended up being, well, productive.

I take it hasn't been productive because no one has a Cave pedal?
I was skeptical at first, but then I tried the G4 and my mind changed.
And you ARE seeming VERY hostile.

Nice buddy. You ask what the issue is. I point it out. And then you act all off put and aggressive.

I'm pretty sure this is how every other thread about these pedals has gone.

Anger management guys. Anger management.

Hostile, how? Am I being threatening or insulting? No. I'm genuinely trying to be helpful here. The earlier discussions were unproductive because of misleading information from the manufacturer and then from shills who posed as impartial reviewers/customers. In the end nobody knew who to believe, so everyone decided that the topic was best left alone.

There's no way you could've known about any controversy relating to Cave products; I can understand that. Unfortunately, the very nature of Cave's dialogue with this forum means that any mention of the subject is going to be met with suspicion before anything else.

I'm sorry if you feel you've had a less-than-warm welcome here, but if you want to blame anyone, blame the Cave shills.

Where did I ask what the issue is? I'm not acting aggressive towards you or anyone. It's not an uphill battle talking about these products when one is interested in them. Bassican and myself are obviously interested in the pedals,
if you're not, then why join the topic?? It's a waste of time..isn't it? Yes, people are skeptical, but, that's why some of us who are affiliated with Cave Passive Pedals do the video demonstrations of the pedals for everyone and anyone to hear and see for themselves. There is no harm in that at all, is there? At the start of this thread I put a link to my youtube channel up of the demonstrations I have done of a few Cave pedals.

There is no harm in us talking about them either. I have seen many previous discussions about these pedals before and how off-track they end up. The reason is because the trolls who have no idea about the products are insecure and they get such a kick at slagging something off to make themselves feel all mighty behind a key board.....real mature isn't it? I want to get back to talking to Bassican about the pedals. No doubt I'll see you in some other topic some other day Iaresee.

Hi Bassican!

It's great to see another Cave user happy with the product they've received. And yeah I have used a lot of different pedals from Cave, and I have been incredibly impressed by all of them.

However I'm a little taken back as to the reaction on here towards Cave, I know I haven't been on this forum much in particular, but I have been posting a lot on others particularly Australian based ones, and the view towards Cave is very different. I think because of a few a negative viewpoints from people who can't open their minds to a new concept Cave have become quite stereotyped on this forum. As I said, on the main forum I'm involved in there has been a huge movement towards Cave pedals and the support for them is snowballing fast, so it's quite disappointing to see that this forum have stereotyped these pedals to the point where no one wants to talk about it. Perhaps before you judge it you should perhaps check out the reviews posted on other forums and the videos that have been posted all over youtube?? And not jump to the conclusion that everyone who mentions a positive review of Cave are 'shills'.
