As of yet, Cave hasn't sent any pedals to us for review. I'd love to give them a spin since the only spin I've heard has been from Cave users that jump on the boards long enough to register and then gush over the pedals. Weird marketing plan but whatever.

Nashville session bassist Craig Young ( Markbass - Craig Young ) seems to like his Cave Super Grunt pedal. Good enough for him to use it on Lady Antebellum's Grammy winning album, and on this track by Lauren Alaina ...

Lauren Alaina - Georgia Peaches - YouTube

Maybe you could shoot him an email and ask what he thinks? He's on Facebook too if you're into that.

Again, Cave has never sent us pedals for review. I'll be a skeptic until they do. All these strange testimonials mean zero without playing one...

This is my point. More spin from Cave users that jump on the boards long enough to register and then gush over the pedals.

Using your logic, if Craig Young himself signed up at this forum and talked about his experience with his Cave pedal recording the Grammy award winning album with Lady A, you'd dismiss him as a noob because he only joined the forum to talk about Cave Passive Pedals

The guy has recorded with Elton John, Peter Frampton, and on Jewel's single that sold 10 million copies. You guys are in your own little world - there's more to the music industry than the members of Geekchat.

And here's 9 pages of feedback from another forum where a Grunt pedal was sent on a postal tour around a bunch of forum members for them to test it out - ie. basically what you guys are saying is lacking. These are real world gigging musos trying out this pedal and sharing their thoughts - not "Cave shills" (apart from that renowned Cave shill Aussie Mark who organised the tour on behalf of Heath Cave) .....

If these are all you say they are, send some pedals for review.

I've always been curious about the pedals.

Stop posting and just send some already.

To guitargeek high commander.

If you are so skeptical, I have 2 suggestions for you which may help you out. 1 suggestion is batION's idea as he said before. Watch the demonstrations on youtube about the pedals and how they work. Or, perhaps take batION up on his offer and shoot an e-mail over to Craig Young? Or, buy the Lady Antebellum album (listen to Craig using the Super Grunt) and boogie woogie along to it. If you are still skeptical after doing all those 3 things then I will be very, very surprised, and out of suggestions....

No one is gushing over the pedals, the players that do use Cave products are just happy with a high standard quality pedal that delivers a desired sound that is best suitable for the player. It's simple really.

Let me break it down for you.

EXAMPLE: If someone bought a new BMW for 100k, that driver would be happy with the product purchase he or she had just made. If someone bought a Ford Fiesta for 20K, that person would be happy with the product purchase he or she just made too. Both cars have got totally different standards, whether it is about power, fuel efficiency, comfort or looks, each driver is happy with their purchase because the product is best SUITABLE for them.. The same would apply to any musician when it comes to a product purchase, whether it is about sound, quality, looks, if it user-friendly or not, if it is best SUITABLE for the player and the overall finished product. No "gushing" at all!

I'd be surprised if Cave ever gave you guys a pedal. I'd say the administrator of the previous topics burnt that bridge for you guys a long, long time ago.

Cheers.

Z

Fictitious threads and countless videos aren't going to help. Cave needs to send some pedals for review. I'll open this thread when they do...
