Aproximate age of my guitar.
Can anyone provide some information about this guitar? I recently aquired a black korean made lotus L680B strat style guitar. I have been trying to research it on line but cannot seem to find too much information about them, or at least one like mine. It has a unique headstock shape that is different from all the others that I see pictures of online. The guitar is amazing, it has such a sweet sound that I find myself reaching for it to play more than my fender strat. Yep it's that nice as far as sound and playability, I will attatch a picture of it for you to take a look at and any information as far as when these guitars were made and by whom I would be forever gratefull...thanks.

It was probably made by Samick, who make something like 70% of the world's guitars. From the aesthetics I'd guess this was an early/mid 90s guitar.
I hate to say it, but I'd be surprised if there was much else to know. Import guitars like these usually differ only in color and decal. While a really good one slips through once in a while, they are intended to be low-end "beginners" model guitars you try to pawn off on Craigslist as "like new" when you're ready for something better.

All I know about them is that they used to copy other manufacturer's guitars such as Les Pauls and Strats and they started I think in the 70's or sometime around then... As for yours I don't really know about the differences that you speak of, but it could be a mistake made in the production line, that was overseen, or maybe they changed it for copyright reasons, if they were caught by Fender?
