Can anybody identify this Gibson by name?

Can anybody identify the name of the guitar in the middle of this trio? Is it a custom shop deal or one of Ed Roman's bogus creations?

I don't know if it's ER, but that headstock is all wrong for any Gibson so I'm going to say it's *not* Gibson -- likely some other shop doing custom work.

I assumed the headstock was a variant of the original Futura design, but now that you mention it, it's very like the one on Robin's Fleetwood/Machete guitars.

The image is from Ed's site so it may well be his own work, but if anybody has anything further it would be much appreciated.

X-V? Why would someone ever want to do that? Special fugliness mention to the 4+2 headstocks.

Selling BOSS FW-3. I live in Brazil, mind you, so prepare yourself for $30-ish for shipping and waiting. Local pickup available, along with beautiful beaches and cheap bitches.

Definitely a Robin; found better pictures here. Presumably it was an in-joke since Robin used to make a pointier version of the same idea called the Wedge (more like a sideways Rhoads than a Gibson V).

It looks like a sideways V, might have been a "guitar of the month" from that one year they did that.
Gibson used that headstock shape on their prototype Explorer guitars, which looked like an exaggerated Explorer. Look up the Hamer Rick Nielson model to get the idea.

Talking

It's definitely an oddball... looks like it would balance really nicely when standing.

The pointy ones are possibly the most metal thing I have ever seen. Needs a Kahler though...

Man they make some beautiful instruments... prices are extremely reasonable too, that's definitely the lowest quote I've ever seen on anything with fanned frets. International shipping would probably be a bit prohibitive though.
