Do you play with a eBow?

anyone else on here play with a eBow? i have the "plus" model and its killer. it infinitly sustain the regular note, or the 2nd mode will infinitly sustain the false harmonic! very badass. you can also sounding like a flute or violin bowing by rapidly moving it back and forth over the pickup.

No, but I've played with one a little bit. Very cool little devices.

I play with an eBow, a real bow, and just about anything else I can get my hands on. It's just more fun that way.

I have one. But Im not good at singing at playing with it, so it hasnt really found its way into my songs.

I refuse to sell it because I know one day Ill just want another one. If I ever get into a different band situation, one where I dont have to sing, then I could see it rearing its blue glowing head.

yeah they are fun indeed. i don't use mine alot, but it has its place here and there. I really enjoy kicking in the big muff, reverb, and delay and doing a nice "La Mer" cover every now and again.

I used to own one but it was too hard to use in a live setting since I sing and play guitar. Once I got my Fernandes Sustainer it rendered the Ebow obsolete so I got rid of it.

ebow sucks compared to a fernandes sustainer system. i never ever use my ebow as it is pretty much a one trick pony. the ebow sound is so stale and cliche anymore that i hate even using it. it's good when it's covered in effects, but it still sounds like an ebow covered in effects.

sustainer rocks because you can do chords. that, to me, is most important. too bad i dont have a guitar i'm willing to waste a neck pickup slot in for a sustainer.

i really enjoy using mine. by now means do i use it frequently, but it has its place. i've spent alot of time learning to use mine and i can do tons of things with it. if you spend a little time with it you find all kinds of neat things it can do.

i've never used the fernandes sustainer although it always looked interesting. i always thought they should have had it work for the bridge pickup as well, not just the neck. i really enjoy the harmonic mode of the eBow that i wouldn't think the sustainer could do.

I think they might work in the bridge, too. Just placed in the neck...but I could be wrong.
