Fender Strat questions
I was just wondering what the differences are on the bridges and the neck nut(roller nut/etc).. I was never too sure if one can be flat out better than the other, or what not, or just preference or whatever... Thank you in advance for all of your help and information!

If you use your Strat essentially as a hardtail then stock parts are fine. Properly setup the stock parts and trem work adequately well even when used for extreme bombs and lifts. For a more stable trem I'd certainbly consider using GraphTech saddles and nut, but have never felt the need to bother.
I have two stage Strats; one is a wedged standard cast bridge saddle trem, and the other a fully floating pressed metal bridge saddle trem both with stock nuts. The one with a floating trem gets serious whammy bar action and stays in tune due to having a regular pencil lead lub job (on string change) after having been properly setup and balanced. |
