Alright, had my SX strat for a few weeks now and...WOW! Sweet neck, solid body, stays in tune nicely and I dont have to block the damn trem!The finish is sexxy and the only complaints I have are the bent switch and the vint. white covers and knobs. Otherwise awesome.
PROS:
Nice Neck
Good Stock Pups
Solid Construction
Stays in tune
CONS:
Bent switch(CURSE YOU UPS!!!)

Upgrades to come:
Repaint. White backgrnd. w/graffiti all over it (I mean COVERING it)
Drop in one of THESE!
MAYBE a coil split or momentary kill...

How does the guitar sound acoustically? compared to Mexican strats

~BETTER~ the mexican strat is very weak compared to this, and the SX has a bit more range. It has a more modern feel, the mexi strat in my opinion just sounds kinda cheap compared to this.

Are the bodies on the SX guitars the same dimensions as those from Fender? In particular, are they thin bodies like the Squier Affinity series or are they like the Stander series? Do they easily accept aftermarket Fender parts (new bridge, pickguard, neck, etc.)?

Hmmm... Their blue and green teles and vintage white strats are enticing for modding.

they are actually very near to the standard series. mine cant take a fender bridge b/c its a tune-o-matic. otherwise yes. they DONT feel like they might snap. Progress is good. Probably going to star paint in a week or so. After the new pup gets here the pickupp is going to be milled.

For the most part no, you will need to do some modification to get Strat trems and Tele bridges to fit. I believe the Strat hard tale is interchangeable. Lots of good info here http://www.agileguitarforum.com/

Yours must be one of the best ones ever built. We reviewed 6 models and the highest any scored on a scale of one to ten was 3. Too many issues to even be addressed. Two came with cracked necks.

This is intriguing. Who is "we?" Which models were reviewed? How were they scored? Can 'geeks read these reviews anywhere?

I'm sometimes suspicious of (though also admittedly encouraged by) the individual raves that SX/Agile/Rondo receives and I'm interested to read something systematic and - with any luck - unfettered by the rosey-red glasses of purchase.
