Lightbulb New guitar...help please

I'm just learning how to play a guitar (I'm 43) and don't know a lot about them.

I just got this one today, and was hoping someone would be kind enough to help me out with more information about it. It is missing some parts, and the top pick up wasn't screwed on so I took it to my local music shop where they replaced the screws. The gentleman hooked it up to an amp, and found that it plays beautifully.

Here are some pics:

Thank you for your kindness and your time.

It's a Teisco ET-200; also known as the Tulip.

Unfortunately, all the Pickguard decor is gone; In all it's glory it would look like this: The Guitar Hunter: 1960's Teisco ET-200 2 Pickup Electric Tulip

As you have it, it's not exactly a collectors piece; but it still stands out. Nice find though.

=)

Awesome, thank you so much for your help!

Believe it or not, I found this at a yard sale and paid 2.00 for it lol! Couldn't beat the price, even if its missing parts and still works xD

I used to have an Epiphone SG Special. Loved that thing. But my hard drive crashed on my laptop (couldn't recover a thing off it) and had to part with it to help pay for my new hard drive (would probably not go back to another laptop) and boy did it tear me up to part with my Epiphone...

Thanks again! Have a great weekend!

burntumbers is an unknown quantity at this point
I`d give you SIX BUCKS for it!

I had a similar No name guitar from a garage sale as my first guitar, it might have been a Harmony, not really sure.

find a little tube amp, and learn to play slide with that thing!
