new vox a4tv
came home with this about 2 hours ago
pretty impressed for the price, under 300bucks very meat&potatoes, clean sound. I`m playing at bedroom levels. don`t care for it cranked up, I have pedals for that. there one thing I noticed...I use single coils, and the hum...pulsates. never heard this before, should I be concerned with the zzz...zzz...zzz...zzz.... it`s not loud, just noticable. and I got the Behringer DD400, the sound is fine. I`m not rough with gear, so the plastic housing isn`t a worry for me |

yeah man, those amps are pretty sweet. there's one at my store that I like to snag for teaching if nobody's looking. the clean is really nice and beefy. sits somewhere b/w a fender and an orange, IMHO. a little natural grit from the amp is nice, and responds pretty well to pick attack. i find the small speaker really holds it back though; needs an external cab to really shine

as soon as I save some more cash, I plan on shopping for a nice 2x12 cab suggestions? |
