PJ Marx

What is this? Is it a company, is it a person? I found a pink humbucker on ebay and the seller listed it as Gibson PJ Marx humbucker. I think I may buy it.

Well, I emailed the seller. See what he says I guess. But I did find an Orange one for $15 and one that looks like a cow skin for $25 on ebay too.

That looks pretty sweet. Let us know if they're decent; I wouldn't mind trying the cow out

Got this info from the guy whos selling the Pink one

Quote:
PJ marx is an actual person. The pickup guru went to work for Gibson in the 80s, designed these pickups, but they really never made it off the ground as far as installations in Gibson Guitars. They are mainly a passive ,dual blade design sealed in epoxy. I don't know more about the pups or the man and there isnt really any info on the net that I could find.
