Queens of the Stone Age Tunes in Standard Tuning.

I'm posting this here because apparently no one at The Gear Page gives a ****... So to help provide this forum with some insight and knowledge as it once did for me, I bring you "Queens of the Stone Age songs that are in Standard Rather than C Standard Tuning."

Copied from TGP:

"Been going through and watching some of the full concerts on YouTube and figure I would go through and cite which songs are actually in regular A440 as opposed to C Standard. Figured I would post it here so there's some kind of documentation.

So far I've found this:
Misfit Love
Monsters in the Parasol
Burn The Witch
Long Slow Goodbye
In My Head
Little Sister
Medication
Everybody Knows You're Insane
Tangled Up In Plaid
I Never Came
Someone's In The Wolf
The Blood Is Love
Skin On Skin
You Got a Killer Scene There, Man
This Lullaby (Can be played standard, but I've found capoing the 7th fret works well. You only miss one alternating bass note. Played 100% correct based around the 12th fret uncapo'd)

Note: Entire Lullabies To Paralyze Record is in A440. I've worked it out as such and the tonality seems correct.

I've worked out some other songs like Lost Art of Keeping A Secret and Go With the Flow in Standard, but according to the guitars Josh and Michael Shuman are using in these concerts, they're in the C Standard group.

Any other possibilities ladys and gents?"

Hope this helps some of you out.

I believe "The Blood is Love" is also standard.

Selling BOSS FW-3. I live in Brazil, mind you, so prepare yourself for $30-ish for shipping and waiting. Local pickup available, along with beautiful beaches and cheap bitches.

I'm under the impression that the entire Lullabies record may be in standard. I'm going to sit down with it tonight.

I sat down with the entire Lullabies album not too long after I posted this... You can pretty much play the entire record in standard. There's a few things that were questionable for me... But I'm probably just not smart enough to figure them out. Some oddball voicings every once in a while. My theory is the entire record was recorded A440.

I've added the rest of Lullabies to Paralyze to the song list. This Lullaby can be played capo'd if you felt like it.

I'm going to sit down with Rated R next... There's a few on there I'm sure is in standard besides what I have listed. I'm pretty sure Auto Pilot is a standard tune. Theres' a few others that is currently slipping my mind.

Yup, Auto Pilot does sound standard. Lullabies... was recorded on tape--there was digital involved, but just for extra instrumentation--, and it allows for some speed tricks and whatnot. Maybe that's what you're hearing?

I know what you are referring to. I never caught any of the tape speed pitch shifts or anything. The main purpose of this thread is just to differentiate the A440 tunes from the C Standard ones. As far the things I said I don't think I got down 100% was mostly due to multiple tracked guitars or different chord inversions.
