Talking Down

Oh my... awesome show, and certainly an entertaining display of kit on stage here!

Kirk & Pepper had 3 Marshall full stacks, each stack a different model (couldn't see which ones from my seat), and Rex had 4 Ampeg 8x10 cabs. Proper old-school wall of amps display, that was, hehehe!

That's cool. I like Down a bit. They are pretty good IMO, but Phil need to get his act together. Well, then he wouldn't do his infamous ranting on stage. Haha.

It's a bit OT for GG but was Jimmy Bower still playing drums with them?

Jimmy, Kirk, and sometimes Pepper would frequent the same bar I did in college. When he wasn't out with Pantera, Phil would be in their sometimes.

They sure could drink

Yeah, Bower was still on drums. And Anselmo wasn't ranting drunkenly... He was being a completely arrogant f**k, coming out with lines like "This next song's for us as we're so f**king great".

Genius.

That's Phil for you...

...drunk or sober he's an arse

I've a friend who knows him rather well but I've always found him insufferable.

I'm not suprised, to be honest.

It works well on stage though. The fact that he was on good form with his vocals meant that he could back it up in this case!
