Logic Pro 9 got an update and is now in the Mac App Store. Looks like they dropped Express altogether and now Pro is $199. Pretty awesome considering it comes with all the Jam Pack content as well.

I saw that announcement. That's pretty awesome. You can buy MainStage separately now as well.

About the Jam Pack content: is it really *everything* that came with the Pro box? The Pro box was 6 DVDs of content. That's a whole lot more than the download file size for Logic in the App Store. I suspect it's not quite the Pro bundle. Something halfway between Logic Express and Logic Pro.

But hey, the price is right.

The new version has a content downloader built into Logic, supposedly you can download all the additional content within the app (someone posted that it was about 17GB).

I'm not sure if that accounts for all of the loops and presets in the old pro version though. Soundtrack Pro was dropped as a product altogether, so maybe some of the old Soundtrack loops have been removed or integrated into Final Cut.
