Whoever wired the Rat up must've been high. It's true bypass, but it goes [somehow] into the volume knob that it shares with the distorted side befroe it goes to the output. Idiots. I'm going to fix most of it up in a minute, staying at dads tonite and school at 11:30 tomorrow.
I'm glad it's workign out for ya!! I think the little stuttering would be from driving the input of the amp so hard I told you it's UNGODLY loud!!
well, that switch just throws the diodes in or out, which will compress and distort the signal which also causes a volume drop. There's all sorts of combinations to be had
You'll enjoy the Police. Zenyatta Mandatta is my shizzle. And Synchronicity I & II. I made the highest exam grade in Chem today, man!!!!!! 74 and the teacher's going to curve it, so I'm the highest A. Sorry for that little outburst
Gilmour's always been ahead the curve with his gear. I love his old tone though!
damn, man. at least you've gotten it together tho!
I knew you'd like the pink one!! I thought about ordering it one time but never did.
Oh hell yeah! Love some good shimmer with a little slap of echo on it! The only reason I'm back with the Small Clone is from the Police and Gilmour. Can't wait to have all of the new pedals soon too!
Damn, that reminds me that I'm gonna need to build a new board for the gigging board and have the coffin case for the BIG Board.
I can do you one better; boost the 1k to 3k freuencies up, cut back everything above 10k a tiny bit or alot. boost the low end a bit as well. low-mids are your friend too!
It shouldnt be much. I'm trying to do yours and the crazy wiring that toma's is requiring! I want to have both done by the middle of this month. Aiming for the 20th but you guys are both real cool. And I'm sure yours will be done before then. I'll probably order some new 3pdts when I get to moms.
It's coming along. fixing the bypass is proving weird as hell though. I was soldering the first time and saw that the wire to one of the lugs of the switch had come off and thought that would make it work. Fixed it with a new wire, tried it out, did fine for the first few minutes. The bypass was WAY lower than the distorted signal though. I have two options. 1) undo their wiring and completely replace the wiring and just do straightup true bypass 2) get a new switch, little bit of wait time though. I have to order more 3PDT's anyways. I'm doing my hardest to find the culprit here. It's not wanitng to work with me. = \ I've got half of the Mode switch wired up and a few mods already in the circuit.
