Yeah man, it's all just hype. I do TB because it's what everyone wants/expects, and it's actually the most convenient for me to do.

Yeah, John's got it right. Boss may be cheaper, but it doesn't mean they always sound bad. It just means that there are some that are even better than them. The buffers just control the quality and impedance +/- capacitance of the signal. [keeps the signal true even over long distances. This is why the guys with long cables and all TB boards buy True Bypass Buffers... I promise I'll make a fortune off of that one day! ] But not all buffers are designed equally, even though it's the same principal.

It's all good either way man.

Tell them to suck it. One day they'll begin to notice how their 20' cable from the guitar to the TB pedalboard is cucking the high end off and then they'll know when a buffer is one of the greatest tools in electronics. It's good to have one in the very front of the chain, and one at the end. It'll help the signal carry over the long cables. and the true bypass in between help to keep the pedals' interaction pure.

Yeah, I was just playing around man! TB with a boss requires stupid drilling or a crazy new bypass method. I was just saying if it was empty and they would Giivivee it to you, that I could build something inside of it. dunno what tho.

2 boss is good. Big Muff is True Bypass, and Rat is too, but by a diff. electrical method than just the switch. Dyna comp is ALMOST true bypass, but it's buffered so it won't tone suck.

If nothing in it, then they give it to you then I'd take it. But money for nothing isn't my game.

I know man, I just sound out that it chrages the sender instead of the reciever, so either way is fine.

Hmmm.. That could be a possibility. All the more reason to get gut shots.

that's cool man. I'll get the rat taken care of and take care of the CE-2 once you get the time to.

Sounds great to me!! I'd love to fix it and look at some guts to see what the diagnosis is.
