    Yaay!! Very nice
Yeah, I thought the 80s rats are small box since the big box reissue came out in the 90s. Since you're going to drill a switch into it anyways, could you stick an led into it somewhere too? Just wherever's convenient and easy to do. And orientation I'm not picky about (just as long as it's not randomly in the middle of nowhere )

If you could give me a list of things you can do to it (mode switch, led, bypass, all that stuff) and the prices so I can pick and choose how much I'm gonna spend on this?

I'm replying to your posts yesterday right now I headed straight to sleep yesterday :B

Yep I just gotta wait til my exam stress is gone, and I'll head to the store to pick up some cables and play some 335s

I see That's cool. What's special about them to you? And man, I looked it up, and to change pickups n stuff, you gotta take off the knobs, but tie them on the top with string. Then take out the whole assembly somehow from the bottom (guess you just drop them into the body and shake it around til everything falls out neatly. Then do all your soldering outside the guitar, then put everything back in using the string to pull the pots back into their original places :\ I think I'd just get a professional to do it.

I see Sweet. I don't dig the no-f-holes then. I still don't understand the point of even chambered bodies.

And I'll listen to those clips later Speakers are being stupid right now.

What's the varitone thing? And I wouldn't go for a lucille (i don't think) because of the no f-holes thing. Isn't that important to the hollowbody's characteristics?

Gimme something to listen to so I know what you're talkin about!

Yep, that thing is one sexy package, aside from the flatness. I gotta go to the shop and play a few, because I forget which models have a nice arched top and it's hard to tell from e-photos.

I'm not sure about the gold, it just depends on what color I'd get I have a hard time choosing cause they all look great. What's special about the Phat Cats? Are those GFS pickups too? Haha, I've got no clue how to wire a 335, or even open one up.. I guess you just take off the pickup mounts and you probably got enough room to do some soldering?

Nah, that V isn't my thing, but I'm dead serious about it. Me and my boys have wayy too much fun joking around doing poison tunes, and it would just do 100% justice to have this I fear the painting part, due to little to no experience, but I look forward to the assembling part. And it's one of those "one of a kind" things I can't let anybody beat me to.

I'm dreaming of a black 335 with gold hardware and a tortoiseshell pickguard (do these exist? ) and maybe a bigsby, depending on how I like them (I haven't played much with them, but from what I remember, they're very smooth and smushy. Not sure how well they retain tune, though. May just go with the stoptail)

I just realized that's pretty much a lucille with F holes and without that.. big dial thing. ..Maybe I'll just go with the typical red cherry look.

Tonal Contrasts? What do you typically play when you're not being forced to do countless muff demos for us?

Hehe, the V is just for fun (Personally, I think they're super tacky :B) and for my whole occasional living 80s hair parody I'll always be a strat guy. I need a 62 strat into my collection, but the last time I told my dad I was eyeballin a strat, he was like "Another one!? But you have two! Get something else!" So yeah. V is for fun (i.e. dive bombing. I've figured out how to do this on a strat, but it just ain't the same )

Yeah, them things are expensive. I don't mind epiphone, really. But the most important to me is that it has to be an arched top. None of that flat top crap. I think I'm using the right terms. But like, the Epiphone Riviera P93 is beautiful. It's a dark cherry color, has 3 P90s, gold hardware, gold bigsby. Like, it's friggin sexy. It's just that it doesn't have an arched top, which makes it look really cheap.

That would be soo sweet I look forward to that day! So, I won't get picked on because I play a colorful hair metal guitar and not a sunburst rosewood tele with bigsby?

What is the thrashmaster? I've never heard of this before. And if you really like it for yourself that much, nothing says you can't put together something else for him, right?

I see. I haven't played them enough to really tell the difference in sound (when I was playing one, I was just listening to the responsiveness and grit of my champ in the store. but i remembered I should stick to playing strats, since it's what i've got in the house ) That Esquire's gonna have to wait, because after I put together my V, I'm gonna be hunting down a 335 for me. I don't mind waiting, because since they're really nice, I don't wanna cheap out and just go ahead and get me the best 335 I can afford

Make it sound scarier than they already are and hide it in your medicine cabinet or something!

my 80s V is gonna be my school gig guitar when I'm playing stuff that isn't blues Just because stealing spotlight is fun Especially when it's due to a brightly coloured funktacular guitar that's absolutely HARDCOREEEEEEEEEE. If it wasn't so vulgar, I'd have SLUTBANGER stencil'd onto it too

Really? I always figured hollowbodys to be a real blues man's guitar. Like, you gotta live a life of pain and hardships as a right of passage before you can play one Do they have a much different distortion flavor than other guitars?

Yeah, I replied telling him I hope he's ok n stuff (...Yaaaay, the rats on it's way to you )

Haha! That must've been hilarious. Psh, but I bet I could do all that stuff with a microwave And LOL Do it! Circuit bend a furby to do air guitar (wait, do they have arms?) !

Man, you always got some sorta big thing coming up, and I can never wait to find out. You're all up on your whole making your own instrument thing Me, I just want a 335 right now. I'm not sure why, but I played a few at the store and really dig the feel (I normally can't play gibsons, but I love these ones) and the size is nice for playing sitting down too (my strats sometimes slip onto my laps when I start funkin it out )

Yaaay. I sent him another email and he replied saying he shipped it yesterday via USPS priority He said it took a while because he got into a car accident

That's neat So you just screwed around with them to make them all wonky? You should totally get another bop it or something and build a pedal circuit into it! Pedal pedal pedal bop it pedal

That would be the coolest pedalboard ever!
