Lucinda Williams
"World Without Tears" Live at the Fillmore Magic Moment: the drum fill that eases in the rest of the band perfectly, and also the way the first solo comes in. Ted Leo / Rx "Timorous Me" Tyranny of Distance Magic Moment: when the drums and bass come in. oh my god, hearing the volume change live is practically life-affirming. Deerhoof "Milking" Milk Man Magic Moment: towards the end of the song when the drums cut out for a bar every once in a while, but the guitar keeps chugging along like a train coming off its tracks.

Artist: The Beatles
Album: White Album Song: Happiness is a Warm Gun The bit about 1:35 when the chorus kicks in. Artist: Wolves in the Throne Room Album: Two Hunters Song: Vastness and Sorrow After what you might call a "break down" just after 4:15 and a new theme comes in about 5:32 and starts building up 6:24 - 6:26 a 2 second pick scrape and everything just all comes together......... gives me goosebumps every time. Artist: Boris Album: Flood Track: (3, III, Part 3... whatever) The drum build up at 6:40 and the guitar riff and vocals which follow. Artist: Pink Floyd Album: Meddle Track: One of these Days All of it. It was 1971 for gods sake and this song/track hasn't aged one bit. |

Band: Cutting pink With Knives
Album: Alef! Alef! Alef! Song: Passing Autumn in Silence Moment: When the super loud guitar starts (or whatever that sound is), gets me everytime. Without that I'd probably hate the whole album, but with it, it works. |

Tony McAlpine - Autumn Lords
The progression that comes in after the guitar/keyboard trade-off, it's just so sexy all I can think of right now

not sure what my favorite "moment" would be, but i love the vocal outro on Open Letter (To a Landlord) by Living Colour.
the part towards the end of the song where he keeps repeating "You've got to fight, you've got to fight" etc etc. i just love the harmony in how it blends with the chords being played |

Ok, here's one of my most recent ones:
Band: Nightwish Song: 7 Days to the Wolves Album: Dark Passion Play starting at 4:18 when Annette sings a very stressed bridge and builds up suspense, then theres a silent few beats, and then the whole band/orchestra break in with the chorus. So unbelievably epic. |
