NEW TO FORUMS :D Squier Jim Root mods for EMGs

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums here but not to guitar in general (I've been playing for nearly 7 years -_-)
I'm almost 17

anywhoo...i just picked up a SQUIER (DONT JUDGE) Jim Root! Whoo

But im thinking on throwing a set of EMGs in it

A 51 on the bridge...
and 60 on the neck...

Worthy? Im not putting 81, 85s in it or any combo of the 8_ EMGs

I just want to know your input.

First of all, welcome! Secondly, hmm... I find it particularly sacrilegious to throw EMGs in a Tele--even passive ones--but I'm an EMG hater and my opinion doesn't count. Oh, thirdly, apparently this forum is for pedal modding, but one of the mods will certainly fix that for ya.

It pretty much boils down to 1) what you want from the pickups. If the EMGs sound like what you need, go for them and 2) whether your guitar is a keeper. I've had a Squier Strat since forever ('98, to be more precise) and I could never find another guitar that plays half as well. She's my keeper and any upgrades I do will be worthy.

Good luck!

Selling BOSS FW-3. I live in Brazil, mind you, so prepare yourself for $30-ish for shipping and waiting. Local pickup available, along with beautiful beaches and cheap bitches.
