Self contained Rig

Ok so I'm posting this to get opinions on the matter. I am putting together a new rig for a new project and would like to streamline as much as possible. for reasons unknown I have always been addicted to rack gear, I also play drums with triggers and a 12 space rack so you can imagine my excitement over guitar gear. Back to the point I would like to make one unit for the whole rig, but I'm an effects whore. I'm currently looking at either a Pod Pro or a rocktron rack unit. I am also looking at a rackable power amp, either Rocktron Velocity or a Marshall. What I would like to do is make a customer flight case that would allow for my rack gear as well as a built in cab. Either a 4x12 or 2x12, but want to make sure that there wouldn't be an issue having the speakers in the same unit as the rack gear. I hope this doesnt come off as a stupid question, but I want to make sure that the rattling wont affect the gear at all. Thanks in advance.

If you're paranoid, a bit of metal mesh between the cab and the gear would keep an magnetic fields from influencing their operation. But I doubt you'd even need that. If there was an significant field created around a speaker cab you'd have all sorts of issues with things flying off the stage floor and sticking to your cab during sets.

The vibrations could definitely be a problem. You could mount your effects units in a suspended rack, shock rack style. That'd dampen some of the vibrations. I'd be nervous having my rack effects sitting on top of a 2x12 or 4x12 night after night. Things would definitely stand the possibility of being shook lose.

That was my concern, it's really not that big of a deal to carry a cab with the rack, just thought i'd try and make one piece.

Not to mention the weight factor! Here's what I like to do for heads and racks. I mount large sturdy plastic feet on the bottom of the rack box or head. Then I also mount the matching recessed cups the feet fit into on top of the cab/head/ rack in the same pattern. You can put a little felt on the bottom of the cup. This system makes it difficult for the head/rack to be slid, pushed or vibrated off and isolates the head/rack from vibration somewhat. It also looks very clean an fuctional.
