Seek out a (used if money is tight) Radial JDI passive DI. Radial makes if not the best then some of the best DIs you can buy. Built like tanks and they're wonderfully transparent. The passive JDI box does what you're asking, so you can capture a direct signal and a mic'ed cab at the same time. And because it's passive you can reverse the signal flow through it without any worries and use it to do re-amping. They have a fancier re-amping solution that makes the whole thing simpler to do but you can get by with one JDI unit.
Edited for some horrible grammar. Ugh.

Art
Art makes some stuff that I have had and can't break. I think for like $40.00 Plus phantom power and a meter.

i work in a performing arts theater, and we use radial DIs for EVERYTHING. any bands in the pit we run them, any bands on stage we run them. they take a lot of abuse and sound pretty damn nice.

I don't know if you've used one for recording guitar direct yet, but they really make a huge difference in tone. In a good way. They tighten up the sound but make it full at the same time. A must have for recording guitar direct. Most any DI box will do what you are asking, they're all pretty sturdy but if you find one that is really cheap and looks flimsy then it probably is. If you're looking for a deal on one (and this goes for all kinds of music gear), go to the Music Go Round website and search for a used one. They'll ship anywhere and often are easier than chasing one around on eBay.

If you want passive (meaning requires no battery to run), the Radial ProDI. If you want active (meaning requires a 9v battery but gives a stronger signal), a Countryman.
EDIT: I've heard good things about the Avenson DI boxes (although "box" is probably the wrong word!) as well. It's phantom powered (meaning you'll need a mixer with phantom power in order to power it), so it's probably not the best bet for a portable one, though.
