For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to seperate my guitar and mic into two different tracks.

I did it once and can't remember for the life of me how to do it. I've been told that Samplitude is like MOTU's Digital preformer, but, I wouldn't know for sure. I was just wondering if anyone has any tips. I'm using a Lexicon OMEGA desktop unit.
