Detuning
Hello guys
this is my first post! I didn't know where to put this so i thought this would be the right place here's the question: some times, i'm alterning between standard and Eb tuning, is this gonna damage the guitar? i already know that if you go from standard to lets say drop B, sure thats gonna damage the guitar but wehat bout Eb? thanks in advance |

tuning the guitar down a half step wont damage your guitar at all i do it to my sg. On a side note you may want to set the intonation and setup the guitar sometimes down tuning a half step will mess your setup a tad.

to be honest, tuning a guitar way down will not damage the guitar. it will, however, require a neck adjustment, due to the lower tension on the strings.

ya tunning down or up is safe, it just requires a setup if you're picky about intonation.
