Opinion on whay i should buy

I am interested in buying a new guitar but am unsure of what I should buy.
Please give me any opinion of these:

Fender Deluxe Fat Strat (HSS) - $599.99

Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded Maple Top - $949.00

Airline Coronado STD - $699.00

Hastrom Swede/ or Super Swede - $622 - $632

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know, im thinking about limiting myself to 1000 dollars (before tax). As you can see I have a lot on my mind. I currently am in an Alternative Rock band (very general term) and have ambitions to go on as a musician.

I'd say no to the Airline right away. its so overpriced. The Studio is OK, but if you are thinking about a Hagstrom, you may be better off with that. For my taste, its a coin flip between the Strat or the Swede. Its a matter of preference. If you can, play them to see what you like. Both are great guitars for the money. I like the style of the Swede better and also like the fact that 99.9% of the people won't have the same guitar as you. And with the low cost, you would have money to make any improvements that you think it might need.

Check on eBay for Swedes. I seen blems for like 350 bucks. If you can deal with a ding or scratch, then you might land yourself a sweet guitar for a great price.

i vote for a hagstrom super swede or the new vikings. cheap and really solid. even the pickups are decent. i like the super swede's thin and long scale neck. the bends are effortless.

however, had i still kept mine and not leave it with my old band's singer as a wedding/'congratulations you're a dad now' present, i would've swapped the humbuckers for seymour duncan p-rails and replaced the coil tap with a 3-way mini toggle selector. or two, to get maximum flexibility, although i honestly don't see myself using the rails setting much...i'm happy with my gibson les paul classic now anyways.

+1 on a Swede or a Super Swede... awesome guitars. With the p'ups (that are good!) changed to even better ones (SD '59s or Pearly Gates for example) those guitars are nearly unbeatable...

Super Swede's are teriffic. I tend to dislike Les Paul's and Les Paul copies, but these are just great.

Tele

Deluxe Fat Strat is a good call, but pretty different from the other options.

Studios tend not to be worth their cost. Either save the money and get a higher-end Gibbo or go for something else. I'd go for something else.

Newer Arlines have humbuckers instead of the original wider single coils. And, yes, are overpriced.

Super Swede seems to be right up your alley.

On a side note, I'd get a better (read tube) amp. There's already a thread going on about a guy with roughly $800 to buy on gear, you can take some advice from there.

Of your options, I'd pick the Strat and two Valve Junior combos. I'd much rather get a Tele, though.

I find it hard to believe that nobody has told you to go out and play all of these guitars yet. That's still the best way to find out what you're going to like the best. I'm going to have to agree with the folks that are saying the Airline is overpriced. If you decide that you want Les Paul, look around on the used market. You should be able to find a used studio with a nitro finish for way less than a new faded. Hell, you can probably even find one that has an ebony fretboard if you'd like.

"Opinion on whay you should buy," 'eh?

Spell Check, probably?

..but seriously, if you're considering an Airline guitar and putting it on the same list as a Les Paul Studio and a Fat Strat.. I'd say you're a rare, open-minded breed. I'd go with the Airline if you know about it and are attracted to it. Not too many people play them.
