+1 on the millenium bybass, I've prototyped a couple of home made fuzzes using a dpdt switch and it worked perfectly.

You've actually made me consider getting a crybaby again since I'd never thought about simply fixing my one problem with it - there is no LED!

Cheers.

Funny you didn't find anything. I actually posted about this a while ago on here.

Anyway, as has been stated (and ignored by a few people hence) the 535q is already wired up with a DPDT. It's in a harness-looking thing and if you want to do it a simple way (as in easy to understand), you could just throw in a 3PDT and bend the new outer row of lugs outward so it will still fit in the harness flush. Then wire the lugs in the harness the same way the old switch was and use the new lugs to wire up the LED (assuming you know how a 3PDT works this should be cake...if not, just google it).

The other way is to use a millenium bypass, which I haven't tried. I'll have my hardware engineer girlfriend take a look when it comes time. I'm lazy.

Oh, and to mount the LED my 535q has a pre-drilled hole on the rocker that isn't being used. With some good wiring and maybe a small amount of the dremel you could fit a bezel for your LED into it. That was my plan, but, like I said, I'm lazy.

PS. You'd have to email Keeley to see if he'll mod the 535q to have an LED. It says that it's $20 WITH the true bypbass mod, which says he won't do on a 535q. That's probably because the 535q is already wired up for TB. $70 minimum is way over what it will cost you to be adventurous.

For what it's worth I just did some mods to my own Dunlop CBG-95 Crybaby......True-bypass, Fasel inductor, LED addition, mid boost, vocal mod. What an unbelievable difference! Here are some good resources:

535q led

I looked for days before I saw this.
I would like to add an LED to a 535Q. I see the DPDT and the harness. I know how to wire a standard Cry Baby to 3DPT and add an LED.
*But, There are only 4 wires in this harness.
There needs to be 5 wires. For me to figure this out and do the 3PDT and add an LED, I will have to figure out which wirer is which in that group of the original 4 on the harness, aaaaaaaaaaaaaand, try to find out what's up with the missing wire.

I don't follow attaching the harness to the new 3PDT...the new 3DPT will not fit the harness no matter which way I bend the lugs...???

Please help?

Thanks,
Mike
