any ehx bassball mods? (review as well)

I absolutely LOVE my bassball that i just bought for guitar...when used with fuzz and my 8 bit fuzz...it creates ungodly horrific screams and sounds!

especially with self oscillating flange....its unlike anythign i heard. wicked screams!

but my only problem is when used alone it or with just some crunch...it only has one sound to it. dont get me wrong it sounds cool but pointless after awhile.

considering that it only has two things to control...distortion on/off and sensitivity control...i would see how it is kinda one dimensional...

but! i was thinking what can be done so that it has more variety? and can be used more like an envelope based filter? anyone out there want to use this as a guinea pig? and make it really ****ed up? maybe like a rate and depth to the envelope? or if it isnt that challenging just add something unique....or if its nothing hard and i could possibly do it...anyone have any idea of where to begin?

Maybe some kind of effects loop, like the Lovetone Meatball? I'm not sure how different any of that would sound from putting additional effects before or after the filter.

Maybe something that would pump up the resonance or change the frequency that it responds too? (those are pretty common parameters for envelope filters, but I don't know how it would work on the Bassballs since it has the 'twin dynamic filters)

Well, the type of filter (band pass, hi pass, low patch, or notch) is a totally different than the frequency. Because you can have a filter (I'm guessing the Bassballs is bandpass or lowpass, but I have no idea) that filters out frequencies that may be set to respond to frequencies the guitar is putting out with a knob. The type of filter would be a switch with 1-4 clickable settings. The frequency knob you have to tune according to the filter you've selected and the sound you want. (at least this is how it goes on my Frostwave Funk-A-Duck and Electrix Filter Factory).

I know EHX leaves some extra room but it might be tough getting a filter type switch and a frequency knob on there.
