buffers

Hello all! So i wanna get a buffer for my pedal board. the CMATMods buffer looks rather intriguing. Mainly because of its low price tag, and the fact that it wont take up too much space on my board. I've never used a buffer before, and i wanted to know if any of you have used it? and i also wanted to know if it would be best to be placed in the front or end of my chain? I'd love to hear what you have to say!

thanks,

Neal

Putting it at the front will give it the best signal to work with, and help mitigate tone sucking from pedals further down the line.

The front is best, but you might have to try it at the end if it interacts badly with any fuzz or overdrive pedals you might have.

Also, if you have any Boss pedals they have a buffer inside so you only need a separate one if all of your other pedals are true bypass.

Look, I can't say much, but I can say this: wait. Not long. Just 4 weeks or so. I can promise you it'll be worth the wait. The CMAT Mods buffer is nice. But in 4 weeks...

Just wait.

Selling BOSS FW-3. I live in Brazil, mind you, so prepare yourself for $30-ish for shipping and waiting. Local pickup available, along with beautiful beaches and cheap bitches.

A buffer is the simplest thing to build; the CMAT looks nice though!

Yes. Chances are, you already have a buffer in your signal chain. Any BOSS, DOD, Ibanez, (and many many others) with the soft touch switch are literally buffers when they are in bypass. What do you need a buffer for?
