choosing a stompbox [sampler]

hi,

guys, i need your help in choosing an effect pedal. i'm looking for a delay with only a single setting - a looper. basically, an effect similar to DD6, but stripped off all programs except for 'hold'. it specifically has to be a stompbox, no computer programs, no kaoss pads or something like that.

also - im looking for something rather cheaper and smaller than boss' loop station.

any ideas what i should look for?

cheers

Most cheap stompbox samplers are found as part of a delay pedal: The Boss RC-2 you mention is the only stand-alone sampler pedal I can think of in that small pedal format and price range (i.e. under £100).

Digitech's Digidelay has a sampler mode - I think it does 4 seconds of looping - That's probably your cheapest option.

akai headrush ftw, yes they are delays too, but they are cheaper than the boss option. ESP if you go second hand first version.

Ooh yeah, that looks like the best bet - They're going for about £70/80 on eBay...

Another cheap option:

DOD DFX94 - 4 seconds of sampling, very cheap S/H
