I'm really impressed with my Dynacomp Reissue. I would say the Dynacomp is my favorite compressor. Has a nice squish but it won't strangle your tone. My dynacomp really bring my clean tone
to a nice shimmer. Sounds great with delay. I only use slight compression though.

If you have got the $$$$ I would recommend Analogmans Bi-CompROSSor !!!!! This pedal has the Dyna Ross & Juicer in one effect it is very versatile & very impressive!!!!!!
Yes there is a long queue for this pedal BUT you can purchase the Mini Bi-CompROSSor (which I have) which is exactly the same as the Bi-CompROSSor but takes up less room on your pedal board & as far as I'm aware there is no queue for this pedal!!! |

How much do you want to spend? I'm sure analogman's compressor is a good way to go or the keeley, people rave about those. I have a vintage dod 280 that I like very much.

the dynacomp was my chocie -- not vitage or anything (which i understand is even better but vintage is out of my price range) -- the boss just wasn't very good to my ear really ... the dynacomp has much more and a great sustain too

personally, I'm not a fan of dyna comps, or ross comps. Heard really good things about the Tone Press, I love my Demeter Compulator it rocks. I've got an Ed-1 that I was about to put on ebay, if you're interested....

An ED-1 is an amazing comp. It's very versatile, transparent, and great for a cheap price! Give it a looksee
