compressor before/after dist
okay, should i put a compressor before or after the distortion/od/fuzz stuff in my chain?
what are the pro/cons of either placement... and artists who use it either way... Thanks people!

im using the comp before but like guru said.. your ears should decide..
about the dont use comp choice: if you need it buy it but, if you like the tone as it is, dont buy a cs-3. i have a cs-3 and i LOVE the way it sux (improves really ) my tone

I'm not voting, as I'd say both, 'cos I use 2 compressors.
Boss CS-3 For pre-distortion compression (actually compressing the physical side of the guitar) and used for tone control. And my MXR DynaComp after all my effects, to compress all that. In recording studios, they compress everything (usually via rack) to get the right tone; so it makes sence. rwents
