deucetone help

I'm thinkin of buying a proco deucetone rat. Has anyone experience with this pedal? Will it fit to a fender super reverb? Does it have a good overdrive sound?

It, like all other rats, fits nicely with Fender amps.

They are very versatile, OD is not a problem at all.

i have one. loads of sounds, you can set it up to do anything from clean boost to OD to fuzz.

they sound great with fender (or fender-style, in my case) amps.

Sorry to revive an old thread but i have a few questions

Is this pedal a modeller? Like say the OD-20 boss unit?

Is it really good? Genuinley? Or am i better just gettin a normal Rat?

It's not a modeller.

But I think it's just two somewhat different Rats combined in one box with various extra options and modes.

It should be as good as a normal rat but with alooot more options. I wish I had one..

if you like the sound of a rat and would like to have two in your chain, get it. When I had it, I set one side for the vintage rat, set to a thin fuzz. The other side was on the clean rat for a nice dirty boost.

A cool thing about the pedal is that each side has its own in and out jacks. You can use it as one big pedal by running the signal to the in jack of A and run the out from B's out. Or, you can put one or more pedfals in betweenn the two, or reverse their order, whatever. Between the mechanical flexibility of the unit, as I explained, and the tonal flexibilty of a Rat multiplied by four different flavors(turbo, vintage, dirty and clean).

Like has been said already, there is nothing "gimmicky" about it. It is more or less two rats stuck together, with the other tones. The switches add or remove cicuitry, there is no modelling going on there.

There is no reason to be skeptical except fo the price an/or your own necessity of two rats.

I used the clean rat a lot, but didn't use anything else much at all. That's why I sold all of them

I have love/hate relationship with rats, I've owned five of them, including two deucetones. I get a sound in my head that I think a rat can do, so I get one. Then when I get it, I find that it can't get the sound, but I find a couple others that I like. But since it doesn't give me what I'm looking for, i turn it for some other gear.

When I have enough money to own "extra" pedals, I will get another deucetone.

YES- $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Get a turbo rat and another pedal (boss od or such). The dual rat looks cool, but a little too much for me....
