Exploiting a dual amp set-up....

so...

since I'm using two amps (running at the same time) I was wondering what options I have to exploit this set up? I used to use a DD6 to split the signal and have a slight delay....but that got boring...now I'm just using a small stone on the one amp (silvertone head)

But what else could I use? Any rotating speaker/uni vibe/similar clones that take advantage of two amps? Or maybe a stereo panner or something....

I don't really know much about pedals with stereo operation....

thanks in advance

Some of the DigiTech X series pedals have stereo outs. Stereo phase is pretty cool in my opinion.

To take real advantage of stereo, rack multi-effects have much better stereo effects options, including some traditionally mono effects that you can use in stereo.

The EHX Stereo Polychorus does an ok Leslie type sim, and it's stereo.

The Boss SE-50 has some seriously cool stereo delays/phasers/flangers.

I have a few flanger chorus pedals that never sound really impressive in the dual amp set up, I am getting a DD-6 though, so I can bounce echoes off the walls. I just fixed up my stereo phaser I think, so hopefully I'll see how it sounds in stereo

It really depends on what you want to do with it.

I have two amps: a crate practice amp and a larger crate 1x12. I send one signal out of my digidelay to the 1x12, and the other to a pb&j delay into the practice amp with the reverb on full, the distortion on full, but the volume down to "audible"

Loong washes of fuzzy hissy noise after everything else has stopped.

I've been using a Stereo DOD flanger GFX75, and I find its a bit weak on my signal for mono sound, but for stereo, I found the effect awesome, you just get it moving from side to side it feels like, I love it, everything sounds so full and rich. I've also been using my pitchshifter before my DD-6 and the de-tune effect gives you the 100% dry signal on one channel, and then the 100% wet slightly detuned on the other channel, now those two amps are the closest 'chorus' effect I've ever got (as there is a speed setting on the PS-5 so you can almost delay it slightly) so it really sounds to me much more like two guitars playing than your average chorus pedal. What kind of things are you looking to play? my advice is get a DOD stereo flanger for the £30 odd you can get them for, and play it on the clean on both channels... delicious, also I'd recomend looking in to the new Line 6 stompboxes as the tremolo has a wicked panning effect, real ping-pong,

Si

I use the stereo analog chorus for this big, fat, lush clean sound... it has the 30w kind of pushing, warmed up, and the unbelievable twin headroom. Best of both worlds.
