I have no clue what you need or what your tastes are (well, a little, but not very well). Personally, I don't like Rats, and ideally, I'd like both the Whammy reissue and Deluxe Memory Man in my setup, so I don't know what to say. Just take your time deciding and have fun!
Or, you could buy a Tech 21 SansAmp Classic with the money and sent it to me. I'd cover shipping charges and send you naked pictures of myself. |

hahahahah! Now that's how you motivate people! Seriously though, the whammy would be a good choice. It would provide you with hours upon hours of fun and keep you motivated to play all day! |

Get a different analog delay and the whammy. there are pile of alternatives to the memory man, most of which have a better bypass.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...category=41415 these sound great, self oscillate and go for $45-50 bucks. And have more of a transparent bypass then a memory man. Just my 2 cents

well it depends on what you prefer... i mean, the whammy would be a totally new flavour while a dist and a delay would be upgrades. so, if you really like whammy and don't hate your jackhammr and dano, you should buy the whammy, if you don't like your dano and/or marshall you should consider the rat and/or the ehx.

you obviously dig radiohead therefore the whammy seems logical to me. i just sold mine recently and if i had known you were looking i'd have sold you mine. its a great pedal and very different. i turned quite a few heads using that thing, it just took up too much room on my pedalboard. i also used the whammy with a danecho and they sounded amazing together, very tom morello. get the whammy used if possible and then work on the rat.

I think you should get a whammy. I recently got to mess around with an original Whammy 1, and I didn't even know what they did before then. I have to say, those are some mean pedals...I plan on getting the new one soon...maybe a used new one though.
did i hear naked pictures? oh wait, thats like 250 bucks... oh i also went out and messed with an xp-100...yeah, i don't really want to talk about that one..

i know a lot of guitarists that find the whammy a great 'toy' for a while but then sort of give up on it (I myself confess to this), for something that is much more guitar orientated i'd go with the memory man or a line 6 dl4 modeller
![]() as for the pro co, i've heard some wonderful tones from modified pro co rats- so i'd say try both the rat is about 115 dollars isn't it ? ( i live in english punds u c) a bargain and the memory man isn't much more than that save up and get both ![]() you wont b disappointed

Yeah, I agree, you should get the rat and the memory man, you will get far more use out of them in the long run, especially considering how much the whammy costs....

i wanted a whammy for the longest time, but after hearing the way korn used it on 'untouchables', i never ever want to use one other than for fun and kicks. it sounds waaaay too processed for me, very fake and digital. my 2c
