Hot Rod Deville foot switch problem...

*I'm having a problem with my fender hot rod foot switch... It's a drive/more drive type and the left LED(channel select) in not working when the 1/4 plug is put all the way in. It does however work when it is slightly in... Anyways I was wondering if there was anyway I can hard wire the led so that it will work and where i should wire each lead to? Cause I can do it I just need to know what is controlling the LEDS power... *I already hard wired the right LED which wasn't working as well... It still changes the channel effectively but I can't see that it is changed. If anybody has any ideas I'd appreciate it, and Maybe even a doctored up schematic to help as well??? Help me fix my dear pedal. Your my only hope...*

keksdose is an unknown quantity at this point
Is it just the LED or the whole switch that does not work? In that case you might want to check if your cable is OK. Maybe one of the leads is broken.
