Question how do you guys manage to control all of your pedals?

I see alot of people with alot of pedals , how do you change to different sounds without tap dancing all the time?

Like if you were using a flanger, big muff and a delay and wanted to change to a delay and a chorus with just one "stomp" , how would you do that? so kind of divice that you hook all ure pedals up to?

and if anyone can help with this i'd be very greatfull:
how can i change between a clean channel on an amp with effect pedals going into it but then change to the dirty channel with no effects? but sometimes i might want to use the pedals i use with the clean channel in the dirty channel and switch between both yes, confusing as hell

Thanx alot

I just hit them all in a row really fast, or try to use both feet at once. I spend as much time practicing switching pedals on and off as I do practicing the actual song.

Check out this website.

You shuld be able to find a solution to all your problems there somewhere. Sounds quite complicated.

What I do is just work out what needs otbe stomped and work it into the song so it sounds fine live.

For example if I need to turn off modulation and turn on gain, i'll always turn the modulaiton off/on first, then the gain, because a small section of no modulation or modulated gian is better than gain too soon (if you see what I mean)

I play a lot of DDR. Really helps with the pedal tapping.

Okay, so I don't. I usually "cascade" my pedals - I'll hit the one most important for the next sound, then the next, then the next. For example, if I'm going from a clean sound to a slapback-delayed + overdriven sound, I'll hit the overdrive first, then add the delay. Sometimes, when both effects are necessary, I'll hit them at once. I usually don't have to do more changing than that...

yeah, I use a loooper. Probably the best $60 bucks I've spent on a pedal.

i just build my own bypass loop pedals, and group the pedals up. that way i isolate noisey/tone sucking pedals, and cut down tap dancing in one fell swoop.

Well, I think it's important to not use any effects in a way that would be beyond your means to recreate live. But you're talking to a guy that never uses more than 4 effects in one song, and they're all on the whole way through. My band performs regularly, and it's very important to me to not do anything in the studio that connot be replicated live. With a few exceptions, such as subtle vocal effects, or drum filtering, but that's a different story altogether.

close proximity of the switching mechanisms, a sturdy pedalboard, and a good sense of balance.

often i'm up on my pedals with both feet.
