Hughes & Kettner Rotosphere MK-I/MK-II
Is was looking on the Hughes & Kettner website to see what the main difference is between the first Rotosphere (MK-I) and the newer one (MK-II) and saw that isn't a big difference only the MK-II is much more expensive... Does anyone ever tried them both and have something to say about this?
I can get a MK-I for a nice price but don't know if I have to save some money to get a MK-II...

The main differences are:
"Latching" Ramp switch. Now you don't have to stay stood on the switch for the ramping feature (where the leslie slows down) to activate. There's also an LED for this function. The MK2 comes with a Ruby 12ax7, supposedly of much higher quality to the 12ax7 tubes that the MK1 shipped with. There's also adjustable speed controls for the high and low rotors, which the MK1 did'nt have. Also, there are some cosmetic differences. |
