I have a super chorus or whatever, the boss one. I haven't compared to anything because it's really my band's oranist's and I'm just using it, it doesn't buffer tone from what I can see and sounds great with the level all the way up. I think it'd be good to at least try out at your local guitar shop.

the Danelectro Cool Cat is an underrated option, it's actually a pretty good one, I'm only selling mine because I don't use much chorus and I have an amp with it built in anyway. VillageIdiot has one too, methanol's also selling one, and what's-his-face from Collective Soul and Kyle from Rainer Maria both use it.

yeah the cool cat rocks - don't think you'll find a better chorus under $200.

I had an Ibanez Soundtank Chorus years ago, and aside from the cheap construction it sounded really, really good. And unique, too. You can probably find one of those for very short money.

But now I'm using the Visual H2O, which just plain rules. And you can streamline your setup by having delay and chorus in one pedal. It sounds awesome, but if you use a crappy AC adaptor (it'll wreck a battery in three swooshes and a slapback) the chorus will hum like a bastard. Use a quality wall adaptor like Visual's OneSpot and it's heaven.

i like the small clone quite a bit - however, i would only recommend it if you want a "dirty" sounding chorus. it is does not really offer the shimmering and pristine sound that you can get from some of the other boxes, but that's its charm.
