My Crybaby Just Turned into a Volume Pedal (!?)
I hadn't played it for a few months and decided to hook it back up to my rig. To my surprise it no longer 'wahs' at all. When I move the pedal up and down the signal goes from low to high volume just like a volume pedal but there is no wah sound at all. It's really weird. I did just remove the base plate to install velcro so I'm concerned I might have disconnected something but I don't see anything noticeable.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this or have any idea of what might be causing this? The pedal was Fasel/volume boost Modded if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance -Nick |

Most common cause of this is the 4.7uf capacitor. A leg either broke or it's bad.

Rigth! Check that ELCO / capacitor!! It is the ELCO that is situated on the left of the board when the unit is turned upside down.
When that one gives out (leg breaks of ELCO is dead) the wah pedal will turn into a volume pedal......... Not a great volume pedal though
