Need help! My first pedalboard, hard one!

Listen guys, I really need your help now. I am going to buy some pedals to complete my setup so for the first time I started to think about getting myself a pedalboard. The problem is, there is a lot of stuff and power cables, too. Here are my (probably) future boxes.

* - means pedals I currently own

*Budda Wah
Turbo rat (or *Jekyll and Hyde)
Little Big Muff maybe
some cheap volume pedal
*cheapish yamaha tuner
*Alesis Ineko
*Roland Space Echo
Line 6 Echopark OR Boss DD20 OR *Ibanez DE7
Line 6 Verbzilla

custom bypass unit (www.woboge.com) I am going to get built

Now the problem is - how many bypass loops should I get? I am going to get one parallel for my Space Echo (it makes strange noise when plugged into serial loop) and another serial one for Ineko. Do you think I should get extra loop for Line 6 pedals? Budda and Turborat is truebypass, so it seems to be ok. Maybe I could get an extra output for tuner.

So you can see that it would be pretty messy. I have to keep original power supply for both Line 6 and for Ineko too. Space echo has its own cord too. Lots of cables, lots of problems. Is anyone here who could help me?

Thanks in advance!

Hmmmm....

Maybe the best thing to have done is the 2 serial loops and one passive.

If you avoid the Line 6 pedals and that means one less bypass and less PSU for each of them.

You could cut out the Verbzilla by using amp reverb or your Space Echo if it has it built in.

You could cut out the Echo Park because you should get enough variation and length of delay sounds with the SE and DE7.

You'd be saving more money too!

Then use the money to get an Ernie Ball Volume pedal, or a similar one with a tuner output.
One less thing to pay for on your custom looper!

Hope that helps.

Thanks, Tenine. But I think it would be pretty hard to cut out Line 6 pedals - Verbzilla is probably the best reverb unit around, spring reverb from my amp and Roland´s reverb are not good enough. They both create that short, room reverb, I would like to get more space.
Echo Park seems to be extremely versatile and fun to play, too. Maybe it is not as warm as De7, but it has much more sonic possibilities.
So the question is - if I really realised that I want that Line 6 pedals, how should I organize my pedalboard? It can be pretty tricky, since there should not be any crossing cables ...

How you want to organise your pedalboard is really up to you. Being your first one, especially...decide what should go where, and why. Then think about why you chose that.

It's not that hard in the end and you should learn how to do it for yourself. It'll also be more rewarding

Well, sure - I like to play with settings and stomp positions in my soundchain, I just thought that maybe someone would come with interesting combination.

The main problem is how to organize power cords and cables.

Also - problem with loops. What is the difference between teh sound of serial and parallel loop? My SPace Echo makes strange noises when plug into serial loop in my amp, when plugged into parallel loop, the effects are not as complex and fat as they should be.

What about the Echo in the FX loop?? Also, which output do you use on the Echo??

About the power and so..... Just buy a dencent flightcase and build a pedalboard into that. I just got a Showmaster 48 flightcase that is big and sturdy enough to house all my pedals.

Because I build the pedalboard myself, I can leave space under the boards for excess power-cables. There is also a small box in the flightcase for the PSU

Output for a tuner is great and to my ears always needed.

I have a contact on a guy, that will build that pedalboard for me. I just wanted to gather some ideas before I ask him to make it.
Maybe the nice idea is that Ernie Ball volume pedal with tuner output.
I use instrument output, there is also mix output, but I do not think it makes any difference.
FX loop is the same like bypass loop, isn´t it?

No, the FX-loop is between the preamp and the poweramp, a bypass loop is before the preamp.

Try the mix output..... does it make a difference?

Oh, I see ... Sorry for asking dumb questions. So maybe if I use bypass loop for my Space Echo, it would not make noise even if it was serial? As I said - I have a serial loop in my amp, and I thought that it was the cause of strange hum and noises.
I will try today what you told me and write later, what happened.

yep, the Mix output is great, it behaves just like if it was plugged directly. Thanks for advice!
