As a solid state amp the wattage shouldn't be an issue, it's going to sound the way it sounds at any but the highest volumes.
I've always struggled with the Big Muff having the one tone knob, you want the treble and grit with it to the right, but the boom and heft of the left. A ten band eq can fix that yes, and experiment with it both before and after the Big Muff.
And if you have the cash for a new amp, looking at a bit lower watt tube heads is never a bad road, just be sure of it before you purchase.
