@Glenn Branca- Since most of your effects are of the modulation type, it is pretty easy to order them.
Vox 847 You Dirty RAT Boss AC-3 the modulation effects don't really need to be in any specific order but i'd put them in order of how much they change the sound. Digiverb Guyatone VT-X Voodoo Lab Analog Chorus Small Stone Stereo Electric Mistress Frequency Analyzer Boss PS-3 Deluxe Memory Man (if you have an effects loop, put delay there) also, the modulation effects could be set up in a separate loop so that they don't kill all your tone when you aren't using them since you really can't use more than 1 or 2 at a time.(well you could but it would sound odd) |

Amp > Behringer tuner > Behringer Phaser > DD3 > Tubescreamer > MXR Zakk Wylde Distortion > Marshall Guv'nor > DS1 > Crybaby > Guitar i know there's no correct way, but should i change the order??

I've just found out that I need the whole wah package: a regular wah, an auto-wah, and a fuzz/octave.
Just to be sure that this sequence makes sense, from a traditional pedal order perspective. What do you think? Wah (Ibanez WH-10, it should have a buffer - I hope) => Auto wah (EH Tube Zipper, it's an auto-wah and a tube distortion, too) => Fuzz/Octave (Danelectro French Toast) => everything else. Thanks for your opinion. Martino

Howdy! Lots of informative comments on this thread, and I know I"m a bit out of the ordinary but I wanted to run this past y'all.
I play electric cello in a funk band. We do have a lead guitarist, so i'm mostly background but occasionally solo. My rig currently is (in order): Cello – NS Design CR-Series 5-String Electric Cello Dunlop Jimi Hendrix JH-1 Wah Boss CS-3 Compressor/Sustainer Octavizer Fuzz – Ibanez FZ-7 Fuzz Ibanez CF-7 Chorus/Flanger (as flanger) DOD FX64 Ice Box Chorus Boss DD-3 Delay Boss RV-2 Reverb Running through a California Blonde II... I'd appreciate input on pedal order, effects, etc. I am not really satisfied with the fuzz sound (i also tried a big muff pi and an ibanez smash box), so i'm looking at replacing it with a tubescreamer or something similar. Really, just does this order make sense and would you subtract/move some? Thanks in advance!

What about this:
Boss Tuner TU-2 Boss Noise Suppresson NS-2 Boss EQ Morley Power Wah/Volume DigiTech Whammy Can I put the EQ before the Wah? I'm only using it as a solo mid boost, otherwise it's all amp distortion. |

Should I put my TS808 before or after my Big Muff Pi?

i would say put the bmp second, because it works well in smoothing out the harshness of the ts-808 if you engage them together.

Hey there. like many, i'm just curious what you fine people think about my current setup. any tips would be appreciated.
Guitar > korg pitchblack tuner > VL proctavia > dunlop wah > boss blues driver (used for a tone boost with slight gain and a push for the) > Ibanez TS-7 tubscreamer > carl martin classic chorus > carl martin red repeat (analogue delay) > amp. I've got them all running out front of my amp, as i find putting the delay in the line out to be inconvenient wiring. i also find that a fuzz octave works best before everything, even the wah. perhaps it's because i never play it without one of the overdrive pedals on, and so it sounds thick, saturated, and octalicious with the wah on. i suppose that last part was a tip of my own. go me. |

I'm just winging it with my rig. Nothing's set in stone, so I'd really like to get some advice.
As of the moment, this is my set-up: Morley Classic Wah Boss CH-1 Danelectro Fab Overdrive Boss DS-1 ( I use this as a boost. distortion is way low) Boss BF-2 Ibanez DE-7 *amp |
