right now I have
gain - ringmod - volume - delay - tremolo - reverb (the reverb is last only because I use the built-in in my musicman, and no fx-loop, otherwise I like it before delay)

yes it does.

seriously, put oif before a fuzz that is TB and see what happens. Big difference with some(fuzz factory, zoom ultra fuzz, teaser stallion etc).

I use the amp's distortion, so it might not make a diffference.

ANY buffered pedal i.e. boss, ibanez, DOD. Will screw with the sound your true bypass pedals. Most of the time it's not noticable but with vintage pedals in particular esp. fuzz there can be huge differences.

The change can be good too. A buffer can help drive long cable runs or curb the treble loss when you turn down a volume pedal

EDIT: The buffer will only effect pedals AFTER it.

Most buffers don't suck any high end. However due to the changed inpedence the frequency response of some pedals will change.

I put my Fabtone before my SD-1 and Rat because if it goes after them it makes them both sound muddy when it's not switched on, I guess this is the buffer sucking off the high end.

It's a shame because cascading the rat into the fabtone sounds much better than cascading the fabtone into the rat. I might get a bypass pedal to fix this

The buffer in my digidelay, which is at the end of my signal line, doesn't seem to mess up my distortion tone though.

I have a Stereoscope Harmonic Overdriver which I use as a sort of light overdrive, but I found that the combination of that with the Rat 2 just sounded horrible. It was particularly nasty with Rat into OD, but even with OD first and then Rat it still wasn't great. In the end I got a Boss LS-2 and put them in two different loops.

Fat strat (guitar) with these effects:
Crybaby, whammy, tuner, compressor, flanger, delay, noise reduction. Distortion in the TSL100, so mind the effects loop.
What order?

My current selection is:

guitar -> TU-2 Tuner -> NS-2 Noise Suppressor -> amp!

I occasionally drop a Crybaby or Super Shifter in after the Suppressor, but I don't use effects regularly. Am buying a Sniper GE-7 to put after the NS-2.

Previously I used:

guitar -> (in) NS-2 (send) -> Crybaby -> Shredmaster -> Flanger -> (return) NS-2 -> amp

I personally prefer wah before distortion too. I don't like the way that the wah smoothes the distorted sound and overpowers it if you link it afterwards. Delay & other modulation works afterwards for me, just not wah.

Just my opinion so probably wrong/ill-informed!
