How would you "arrange" these pedals:

Guitar-->

Ernie Ball VP (TU-2 Out)
RMC Wah
69 (fuzz)
FDII (overdrive)
AD9 (delay)

I aslo plan to get a Tremolo and/or Phaser in the near future too.

I'd appreciate any input, Thanks!

is the tuner best in front of the wah? or where else should it go?

Now, I'm experimenting with pedal order to see how the buffers effect each other.

I also sometimes like to go
delay->dirt/fuzz
so I can get a nice wall of noise with notes that just bleed together. Works with reverb aswell.

Here's mine, pretty much traditional. gain/modulation/time...

>ac125 Fuzz Face>MXR Blue Box>Mxr D+>EHX Deluxe Big Muff>EHX Small Clone>Dod PDS Delay>....Marshall DSL 401 clean channel.

I'd like to use a circuit bent Dod FX66 but it f*cks the chain up on by-pass (volume drop), the Blue Box is bent but works fine with the chain.

A looper will solve your bypass problem, such as the much-praised Loooper .

I've considered this solution before, hmmmm, gonna have to build a bigger pedal board!

Well, if you put it first you guarantee it gets a dry signal every time, but honestly it doesn't matter. For a while I had my tuner last because my volume pedal has a tuner out and I though it'd clean up my signal to get the TU-2 out of the chain, but I didn't notice any difference so it got moved back to first in line.

from reading all of your posts i tend to find that i have a pretty un-traditional way of pedal placement. it works for the sound im going for though.

guitar->boss tu2->vintage mxr phase 90->boss bf2->boss dd3->pro co rat2->boss dd6->dod equalizer->amp

My current set up (also in sig):

Guitar ->
Dano-mini 7 Band EQ ->
Morley Classic Wah ->
Ibanez SM-7 ->
Marshall Guv'Nor (II) ->
Boss Super Chorus ->
Amp

The EQ at the beginning sorts out some of the problems I have with the pickups in my Jackson (Duncan Designed Detonators... too muddy IMO) if it wasn't there it would be after my gain stages.

Would anyone do it differently?
