hi,
i got a pds1002 from an ebay seller, and put in a fresh 9v battery. i have not even tried to modify the trimpots yet, and already the pedal crackles, the "effect on" led doesn't light, and the control is really weird (footswitches don't seem to latch, etc.). does anyone with one of the digitech dual footswitch pedals know whether this is due to my battery being a 9v and the pedal requiring a 10v? should i purchase an adaptor for my 1spot and hope that solves my problem? or is this unit defective? thanks for your help, geeks. |

I've ran it off a 9V battery before, the adapter (DOD) I use with it is a 12V, however. I've never compared battery vs. power supply though. I don't remember having problems running off a battery though. And it can be run off a One Spot/Godlyke, I've tried it.
My footswitches crapped out too. The bypass switch is mostly reliable, but the hold switch is almost useless. I don't even know how to replace the switches either, I'd like to though. |
